I think they are looking for something to talk about. LSU and OSU have this locked down until and unless one of them lose. So let's speculate on the one-loss teams. That's it all it is. Gives those one-loss fan bases a lot to talk about when there otherwise wouldn't be.
I agree. To come on the air in mid-November and say that LSU and Oklahoma state have it all locked up, wouldn't exactly be compelling TV. It's their job to stir the pot a bit.
If lsu loses then we're done. We lose to arky we don't go to Atlanta. We don't get a bcs bowl. We play Wisconsin or ok or some other highly ranked team that shot themselves in the foot in the cottonbowl. We must win out. Bama will be ranked higher than arky and go to Atlanta and the gumps will come back on here and rub it in our face,Bad!
Their Biggest issue at ESPN is that they DO NOT want to see a rematch of ANY sort....whether it's lsu/oregon.... or lsu/bama so the easiest thing for them to do....is hope lsu looses somewhere along the way! They would be fine with an LSU/OK-State game.....anything else ....lsu/anyone else.......is not acceptable for them.
"Not so fast my friend" .......where you are wrong is, even if lsu looses a game they will go to a BCS game.....the west/sec champion goes on to play for the NC....and the second best team in the sec......lsu in this case, goes to the sugar bowl!!
LOL...really.....is that all you can comment on? Let me see......I have a term paper here from 1991....should I send it to you to look it over??
To be fair the first 20 minutes of 1 loss talk was under the assumption LSU does not lose. The last 20 minutes was the reverse, if LSU does drop one somewhere. There was a good bit of respect given to LSU, but they are pundits. They want drama, I don't really think its 100% LSU hate. There is one guy on there that is very pro LSU, the other two I think not so much.
In my opinion.....these guys just want to see the BCS implode to have amunition to tweek or change the BCS......LSU is just caught in the middle!!
