BCS Show - LSU vs Bama BCSNCG Deal with it !!

This was my response in another post last night. When I saw this post, I though I would add it to this topic also.


Here's the thing, if LSU & the gump's aren't in the BCSNCG, it would be a shame. I hate to admit it, but the gump's are no doubt the #2 team in the nation. IMO, it's LSU#1 gump's#2, & then a far drop to the rest of the pack. That being said, I don't think the system would allow 2 SEC teams to make it to the NC game. Personally, about 14 days ago, I wanted to play Stanford or Okie. Then Stanford lost, so it was Okie. Then Okie lost, so now what? LSU is the only undefeated team in the land, & bama's only loss was to LSU, in OT by 3, & all the gump's & their media buddies keep screaming that bama was the better team, they beat themselves, blah blah blah. So today, I want to play the gump's again. Make them come down here for all the marbles, have those hillbillies travel & spend their money in our state & give them another shot at it. This time, no matter the outcome, there will be no excuses for either team. It will be one game for the crystal, to hoist it up & show the world that you are the best, end of discussion, & I like LSU's chances. I think this would be the best scenario for LSU anyway, b/c if we were to play Okie or anyone besides bama & won, all they would be saying is that "bama/we should've had another shot at LSU, they/we got robbed, they/we would've beat them this time", etc. Give them another shot to make it a legit NC, & let's see what happens. This time we wont have to change our game plan in mid game b/c our QB craps himself. JJ will go in with a ton of confidence & over a month for him & the O coaches to work on things & fine tune the game plan. He threw the ball very well yesterday, for the most part. Looked like he did against A&M. We got this.

 

OSU's big problem is the Coaches and Harris poles.

 

Where did those SOS numbers come from? They must have drastically changed in the last week or so.

A valid argument.

 

At this point I don't care who we play in New Orleans. I am sure LSU beats down the Dawgs because my guys want that ring !!

A 13-0 LSU is going to hurt any team that shows up in New Orleans. Bama fans think they want it but the truth is that it will hurt the respect of Nick and the Bama program to take what they will get if they back door in.

Bama will be better off staying in Bamaland and trying to figure out how they can beat LSU in BR in 2012. But they will come to New Orleans if asked and get the worst defeat in the Saban Era !

If it's LSU Alabama there should be no excuse for not having a playoff in the future. The argument was always a playoff would devalue the regular season. You give Alabama a free pass into the National Championship game you basically say the regular season means nothing. It has absolutely no value. If Bama beats LSU (if we play each other again) Bama should be forced to beat LSU a 2nd time in Death Valley at night.

 

I completely agree, I really do think OSU's resume is better than bama......does that mean I think osu IS better than bama??? NO

OSU.....could have a beautifull win....by destoying(not just beating) oklahoma.

My Opinion...bama is not a forgone conclusion ..unless OSU looses to OK

 

Great post BUT my idea is to have this the BCS plus 1 if Bama wins the middle game. We beat them at home and if they won the next game it would be tied, that would be where a plus 1 comes into play.

 

I've already said WHO gets to beat Bama TWICE in one year. :hihi:

 

Izzy, I trust you as an analyst on this ranking maze more than anyone else. even espn guru's. If you say it , I trust it as fact. You have proven yourself to be the best at it.

I have heard others say if lsu loses they won't play in Nola. It will be bama and okie state. That would give voters a way out of a rematch. They could say we didn't win our division either. They can use the same arguement we are using aginst bama aginst us.

If we lose to ga, say by ten points, will we not play for the bcscg or are we in
regardless? If you say we are in I believe it. If you say we may be out then I will be a confident nervous wreck.
