I think we should play Tennessee add a little strength to the start of the season, not much just a little , Start the season the way we ended it ! Playing a top notch team , Tennessee will win the East . We have the QUARTERBACK , we have the team , we might as well hit the ground running !

I don't understand, why would we schedule another SEC team? I thought the whole reason was to step outside of the SEC. Besides, doesn't the SEC do their own scheduling with Tennessee coming up with a home/home every 4 years or so?

If we're dropping Norh Texas, it won't be Missouri cause they play Illinois that weekend.

Do you really not know why this can't happen?

We are hearing the same rumors that the 2009 game with LSU is being moved to 2008.

P.S. Please don't call us Appalachian D2. :dis:
(The D2 champ is Grand Valley State)
The Mountaineers are Division 1-AA or Division 1-FCS

Our championship gear reads the same as yours:
2007 NCAA Division 1 Football National Champions

I am looking forward to another game against your Mountaineers and repect what the team has done in AA the last few years.

    Welcome

I don't think it can. The NCAA does not recognize a Division 1-A National Champion in Football. BCS? Yes. NCAA? No.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong here.

Sorry but they are not the same and not recognized as such: I-A/ I-AA; Bowl Subdivision/Championship Subdivision; Big dogs/Little dogs...Funny chit though.

Actually, technically, the NCAA doesn't recognize any NC's in football; hence, Mythical National Championship.
