Ausberry said they are working on a home/home series with a BCS school with the first game to be played at Tiger Stadium this year. If true, it'll suck to schedule someone like Baylor and play in a stadium that only holds 50,000. LSU fans deserve better than Waco.
Baylor has 12 games scheduled and is hosting Washington State on 9/13. Washington State is playing 13 games (at Hawaii), so they don’t have much wiggle room to adjust. Unless Baylor drops Washington State, I don’t see how that game is possible. Illinois needs another game, but they are scheduled to play Louisiana-Lafayette on 9/13. So it’s possible, but again other teams will have to be willing / able to adjust their schedules.
This is not exactly on topic, but is a schedule related question. Did I see TWO open dates for the Tigers next year? October 4 and Nov 15 ? ldskule:
OU was a different team without Bradford @ QB in that game. Even so, their scrub of a backup came in and by the 4th quarter made quite a game of it. If there were an extra minute in the game, they'd have beaten TT because TT could NOT run out the clock and kept giving the ball back to OU.
Yep, two open dates. There is an extra Saturday during the football season this year. Hope you haven't made your travel plans, yet.:hihi:
Baylor or Nebraska (even with the Pelini tie-in) makes no sense whatsoever. Why would two first-year coaches who have tried for years to land a major conference HC gig, automatically gives themselves a guaranteed loss in their first season? Maybe year 3 or 4 of their tenure, once they've increased performance like Zook has w/ Illinois, yeah, but Pelini and Briles need all the Ws they can get this season.
