LSU will play North Texas on 09/13 This frees up LSU to play on 08/30. No word yet on who it will be, but for reasons I gave earlier I’m guessing Texas Tech. To make this happen: Rice at Vanderbilt moved from 11/1 to 9/13 North Texas at Rice moved from 9/13 to 9/27 North Texas at Kansas State moved from 9/27 to 08/30 Louisiana-Lafayette at Kansas State still has to be rescheduled from 08/30
Greetings LSU, I have recently also been hearing about a possible LSU TT match up. I hope our AD's will grow some and make this happen as i think it would be a very intresting game to watch. Its probally a long shot anyway as we will have our strongest team possibly ever and our AD might not want to risk not getting a BCS game finally, but a game in Houston or something sure would be a blast.
LSU/TT in Houston or LSU/Baylor in Houston is what they want. A 5-year series with the 1st game this year being in TS, and the others being in Houston. Ever since the Texans stadium has been built, LSU has had an interest to play a game or two there.
Steve Schneider is the sports director of the news station WAFB here in Baton Rouge. He said it on tonight's ten o'clock news, so unfortunately I don't have a link. Welcome to the board, by the way. :thumb:
Moving N. Texas makes sense. You don't want to play a hard game the week before traveling to Auburn. I keep hearing Texas Tech.
An LSU poster on some other board, apparently: "not gonna happen. Texas Tech is going to play Eastern Washington in Lubbock to open the season. This is coming from a friend in the Texas Tech SID department." All of us Red Raiders and fans are praying that this doesn't happen. We want to play LSU. We'd rather lose to LSU at night in Baton Rouge (it'd be within 14, at least) than put up 3 digits on Eastern Washington State at home. By the way, our athletic department is not well-liked here.
Dosent look like it will happen apparently we will be playing Eastern Washington State. This is sad for us passing on LSU to play 2 D-1AA teams, were doomed to be 8-4 for the rest of our lives
