    100 % correct.

    Style points are paramount.

Some people say Myer and Saban are scumbags for running scores up, and their happy with Miles for being classy about games... but I think he could learn a little in this area of the game and we might garner more respect in final rankings and maybe see better bowl each season.

quick bcs poll question for islstl?

I saw this comment on another site. Is it true?

"All but one computer uses the ranking of the team when the calculation is made, not when the game was played."

If it is true, which computer used the ranking of the teams when the game was actually played?

Anyone who thinks that style-points count should ask UGA fans what they think about that at the end of last season...

Their case wasn't made because they lost to UT, didn't go to the SECCG and we did and beat the team that beat them in head to head. Simple point really.

There are no rules that state you must beat UT and go to the SEC CG. That's the argument that other fans and some sportswriters made. They were playing the best football of any team at the end of last season and probably would have beaten anyone.

On the other end of the spectrum, LSU got in because of the number of ranked teams we played despite an absence of "style points". Style points matter to douchebag reporters in small town papers. That's about less than one third of a poll that doesn't even count for anything.

Frankly, the color of a team's cleats holds more relevance...

Based on your arguement then LSU was dissed in 06' and we should be 3 time BCSNC. And if you don't think style points sway the final voters watch the outcome of the UT/OU saga when they both win this week.

    My guess is Billingsley.

Pretty much every other poll uses a top 10 and top 25/top 30 W/L ranking, which means once a team that you beat drops out of that list, you lose value and overall rating in that poll.

I don't think you understand what the BCS even is, much less my argument...
