Reminiscent of 2003... everyone was speculating about who deserved to face tOSU in the championship game, but only one team was a consensus choice to make it. USA and Harris polls: 1. OSU, 2. LSU, 3. Virginia Tech. Computers: 1. Va Tech, 2. LSU, 3. OSU.

Well, the AP, USA Today, and Harris all agreed that it was 1. OSU, 2. LSU, 3. Oklahoma, 4. Georgia. As for Virginia Tech, they were ranked #5 or #6, depending on the human poll. That is interesting that if we relied on the computers alone, we'd have a #2 LSU team playing a #5-#6 Virginia Tech team for the BCS NC game. If that had been the case, I guess #1 Ohio State would have played #5-#6 USC in the Rose. Good thing they weighed the human polls with more weight in the BCS equation in the time since the 2003 season -- #1 USC (11-1) v. #4 Michigan (10-2) in Rose, #2 LSU (12-1) v. #3 Oklahoma (12-1) in Sugar.
