Losing your 4 year starting QB on the first series is some seriously bad luck. Hope he can come back, because the whole team looks flat now.
This game sux to watch. McCoy goes down, and his freshman back-up has nothing (first half stats: 1 of 10, 10.0%, -0.4 yard/attempt, 0 yards, 0 TDs, 2 INTs). The good news is that I was hoping that somehow both teams would lose, and so far, that's what happening. Texas is losing the game badly, and Bama is losing because most people, at an emotional level, feel sorry for Texas with Bama beating up on a team that has the guy that was their heart and soul injured shortly after the game began. Basically, with all the hype and expectation everybody had for this College Football Grand Finale, everybody is disappointed that McCoy isn't able to play... and watching the Bama team and coaching staff act all serious like this is still a legit ballgame, it makes them look bad. Yeah, at a logical level, nobody expects Bama to pull their starting QB just because Texas lost theirs... but on an emotional level, I think most people look at Bama like the bad guys.
I don't know about that, but it will certainly take away from bama's supposed accomplishment. And we won't ever let them forget about it.
So you're not disappointed in the game? And you're not disappointed that McCoy is out? I think everybody who was hoping for a good show is disappointed... and, on an emotional level, I think most people feel sorry for Texas (and thus look at Bama like the bad guys). What part of this don't you agree with?
Exactly. Now when Bama says they won (if they do win, which if they don't it will be just an epic fail) the response will be "well of course you did, UT was playing with Curtis Painter as their QB." No win for them....other than they will have that crystal football.
He is not the dumbest coach. He is just a Mack Brown. For all the people that do not believe that Saban is the reason for our success in this decade. Go back to smokin the crack pipe. God I hate that he is at Alabama. I hate that they are winning the BCS national championship. Oh how I wish we had Saban back. We need a head coach that brings a defensive mindset back to LSU. Rather it be Iowa's coach, Muschamp anyone that can bring back that swagga. Do not tell me it is Chavis....he is alright...not great.
