I can tell you what no one had better be hoping for and that is for moo u to fuck around and beat the gumps. That would be disastrous. Hell I don't even want them to play em close.
It's way to early to worry about all of this now. Let's revisit this topic in a few weeks and see what's what.
Alabama jumped into the NCG only because the remaining undefeated teams took a shit coming down the stretch. I can't see a scenario where a 1 loss LSU team would jump over KSU and Oregon should they both stay unbeaten. And honestly, they shouldn't jump them. KSU and Oregon are the real deal. ND gets bounces this weekend.
This is true, and as it should be. There are still opportunities for any of the unbeaten teams to lose. However, if two unbeatens remain at the end of the season, we wouldn't be in.
All I'm saying is that if KState and Oregon or one of those 2 and Notre Lame (not gonna happen) are undefeated at the end of the year a 1 loss SEC champ will not jump them. So if I'm Les Miles, i play the rest of this season with reckless abandon. Throw it all out there.
To me, it is all about winning the SECC. If the BCS comes knocking, that is fine. Even if we went undefeated, the BCS is not under our control. It is up to voters. Win the SECC and hope for the best. That is something we can control. Edit: Oh and it is also up to the various other teams we never play (or even play someone in their conference) that could go undefeated against lame competition.
If there are 2 undefeated teams and LSU wins out we would have the best chance of any 1 loss team, because of the victories over what would likely be 2 number 1 teams, another top 25 team, and one of the victories would be over the only team that beat us, so you could make the argument that the early Florida loss on the road was a fluke. However I don't see us jumping an undefeated KState, and undefeated Oregon.
