PAC 10 fans have BEEN saying this for years. Odd? How's this for "Odd"? How about if you're not from the SEC and two teams from the same conference played for it all, a SECOND time? Not to mention the last, what, 7 years an SEC has won it.
We threw that baby out with the bath water in 2007 when we lost our last regular season game at home and still got in. Oh, as for as the 1 loss;2 loss teams, that one went out with the water that year too.
BCS just keeps saying what the SEC keeps proving each week. Best athletes + best coaches = best football teams.
It's definitely going to be interesting to see how it all pans out. Basically, at this point, 5 SEC teams control their own destiny on the issue. Bama - currently undefeated Florida - currently undefeated MState - currently undefeated. LSU - one loss to FL, but can still win the west. .. and thus the SECCG Georgia - one loss, but can still win the east. ... and thus, the SECCG My analysis .... - Bama looks good, but we can't really know how good because the SEC teams they've played have all been bottom feeders. The next three games, MState, LSU, and ATM will tell the tale of Bama. - Florida is looking strong, but it's of note that they barely beat LSU .. and had LSU shown any offense at all, that would have been a loss for the Gators. But .. none the less, they are gaining in confidence, and have beated two highly ranked SEC teams. - MState ... it's just hard to tell. They haven't played anyone spectacular. They are kind of in the same boat as Bama .. the next couple of weeks tell the tale. If the beat Bama and LSU and ATM, they will be sitting pretty. - LSU ... simple as this .. if their offense starts showing life, and they win out, Florida is in trouble come the SECCG. - Georgia .. I don't know much about them, but they have a shot.
Oh yeah .. Fl is riding high. But like I said ..if LSU's offense begins to spark, and I have confidence that it will, and we win out, FL is going to kiss their BCSNC dreams goodbye. They only beat SC because of turnovers, and barely beat LSU, in a game that LSU should have won had ODB held on to the dang ball. I ain't scared of FL ... or Bama, or MState .. or any other team.... except maybe Arkansas. The pigs will figure to be the spoiler for LSU ... for some reason, that is just the way it rolls.
Yeah .. I agree .. but it would be fate for LSU to come in and beat Bama, beat MState, .. and lose to the fricken pigs.
If you've looked at them the past 2 weeks, they've found a defense and have looked a lot better. I hate to say it but we better bring our A game when we go to Piggieville
