Florida has defeated 3 Top 25 teams, 2 in the Top 10 (#3 LSU & #9 USCe). Bama has defeated 1 "preseason" #8 Michigan team. What does this mean for LSU? LSU does not control their own destiny. That has now "officially" been removed, with the horrible snubbing of undefeated Florida. We could beat Bama, but they will only drop 1 spot to #2. Oregon will move into the #1 spot. ESPN & "Friends" will have their "East vs West" advertising campaign & BCSNC game. Very sad day for CFB fans. Do people think it's a bit odd that the last 3 National Championships have come out of the state of Alabama & are headed for #4?
If we beat Bama, and win the SECCG, and I asked this in another thread, would we have the juice to jump an undefeated Oregon, and undefeated Kansas State? If we win out and 1 of those 2 teams loses a game, we are in, because our only loss would be avenged in the SEC championship game. Also that loss was on the road. If both of those teams finish undefeated, I'm not sure we get in.
LSU still controls its own destiny as long as Oregon or Notre Dame lose. Winning out means beating Bama and Florida in the SECCG. That would put us ranked ahead of every other SEC team.
Then a one loss LSU would be left out. The rest of the country is sick of seeing the SEC win consecutive titles, and everyone talking about the dominance of the SEC, no matter if it's true or not.
You will really shit a green apple tree when OU beats ND, then watch as Ore St beats Washington and jumps us in the standings because we are idle.
LSU would have to beat a #1 ranked Bama, a top 3 ranked Florida all after beating a #3 SC and a ranked Miss St and faggies. I think the computers would help LSU jump K St.
As the late great Al Davis said...."Just win baby." It doesn't matter what happens if we concentrate on winning each ggame as it comes, and do it. If there are 2 unbeatens then it will be tough to jump them but I suspect there will be at most 1 undefeated team after the season is over. With that it will depend on who loses when and the nerds. Guys as Gen Patton said "Don't take counsel of your fears". If we win out I will count this as a spectacular season no matter where we end up.
