Multiple teams will be pissed when they hear the results tomorrow afternoon. This will push the plus one format to take place sooner than later. After the current contract runs out, we are going to a plus 1 system. If we had a plus 1 system this season you would have, potentially: #1 Ohio State vs #4 Georgia #2 LSU vs #3 Virginia Tech Now could we all agree by playing out these 2 games and then pitting the winners in the championship game, would decide a true winner? I could live with it certainly.
I'm a BCS hater. Just wish this mess would occur in years not involving LSU! Brad Edwards thinks it is LSU vs OSU. I'll take it anyway I can get it.
Oh this is a BCS goat screw for damn sure. You think the computer simulations would ever predict or even fathom a season like this? Musberger is now talking out how LSU could meet USC in the Rose Bowl while cleaning the muck off his chin! Go figure...if you can!!! :champs:
OK------So who really deserves to play in the BCS? According to the BCS, no conference can have more than 2 teams in the BCS. (Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri) OHIO STATE (11-1) Haven't done a damn thing since beating Michigan in a 14-3 thriller. Played such weak teams as Youngstown State, Akron, Kent State and loss to Illinois. If it's about the rankings, and they are the new #1, then I can understand why they would play in the champinship game. But if it's not about the rankings, someone convince me why they should play when arguably USC, Oklahoma, West Virginia, Georgia and LSU could beat them KANSAS (11-1) Like Ohio State, they haven't played anyone either, but they didn't win their conference. But whay makes OSU so special LSU (11-2)- If anything, USC should be playing them. They have 2 losses just like USC. How the hell can they jump over 3 teams (Va Tech, Kansas, Georgia) to play for the championship???????? GEORGIA (10-2)- I doubt they will be playing in the championship game being that they weren't even in the SEC game, and they loss to Tennessee. But hopefull USC gets a chance at them as well. WEST VIRGINIA (10-2) Had their bubble bursted at the wrong time, but they to would be a quality opponent against USC. MISSOURI (11-2) Lost as well.......are they on the outside looking in. It would be unfair if Kansas or Missouri doesn't go to a BCS game VIRGINIA TECH (11-2)- How does LSU jump over them? They are where they should be. OKLAHOMA (11-2)- What would it mean if they jump over USC? And if they do....than why? ARIZONA STATE (11-2) Are they still in the mix? Will they take place of one of the Big 12 teams? HAWAII- Just killed the fun! I've got a headache
