Funny you throw out a PAC 10 team cause them having a Conference Championship Game too (next year) could add a lot of credence to their rankings in the BCS. It's clear to see what ours (SEC) has done for us in recent years. Just the fact that we were playing when others were home helped and why PC had moved USC's final game to the same weekend as Conf. Championships.
Oregon has done the same thing with their traditional Oregon State game. They are praying Oregon State can run the table between now and then.
I hadn't realized that. A conf championship game gives them more of a guarantee in playing a "quality" team in terms of wins/losses.
Yep, starting next year, our advantage over the Big 10 and Pac 10 will be gone with the SEC CG. The ACC as well, but the ACC blows.
I don't know if it'll be "gone" but I get what you're saying. Of course I'm thinking it's going to be a matter of the SECCG winner and one of the others but not naive enough to recognize it may not be the case.
32 teams is way too many and it'll never start that way. hope and dream for a plus one soon. then maybe an 8 team playoff. i like that for a playoff. even 16 may be too many, i love the college football reg season and a 16+ team playoff would have to alter it in some way.
it's kind of funny, I don't see you drinking ripple or smoking for that matter, and unless Edwards is running for mayor of Plano or Governor of Texas, don't really see you voting for him either.
A plus one would be pretty good, and I'd be happy to see that. It would be huge. If that meant adding a BCS Bowl, then the Cotton Bowl would be a natural choice with the venue being Cowboys Stadium.
