I also think OSU will upset them. It will be quite a shootout where Kansas has not really had to come down to the last drive to win a game, and I think the QB will throw a pick.

    OSU 44, Kansas 38

That's a great point. How did we lose a 13 point lead? We had our chance, perhaps we still do. We best get this ship in order. I think we have the best team. It's time we start playing like it.

I am in agreement...If by chance Kansas does finish 12-0 then they would have to #2 assuming Ohio State wins out. I personally hope all teams have 1 loss, because I hate the current BCS system and this will cause complete chaos.

    Just my two cents!

I wouldn't be that confident if I were you. Right now Oregon actually has a stronger SOS (the old BCS SOS that Tellshow presents) than we do. The reason that we are ahead in the models is because our loss on the road to KT is perceived to be a better loss than Oregon to Cal at home. Now at the end of the season our SOS's will be about even (assuming GA wins out and we play them in the SEC CG). Since we are ahead in the models now, this would seem to make it even more certain that we will stay ahead, but what happens if the perception of the losses changes?

In this regard, the TN @ KT game is very important. TN is a direct link between between the two losses. Direct links like this between normally unrelated teams like us are not common and will have significant impact. Relative to us, a TN win will enhance Cal, lessen the impact of Oregon's loss, diminish KT, and exacerbate our loss. While I truly hope your confidence in the models is justified, I think there is a strong likelihood you will be unpleasantly shocked.

Indiana, I respect your position on the matter, but LSU just has beaten too many decent to good teams versus Oregon (8 vs 4 in the end).

I know what you're saying, but that old SOS is pretty good at sorting teams. It's extremely good at sorting undefeated teams. It gets dicey as you add losses because the models have information about quality of loss that the SOS can't represent. Frankly, I was surprised that Oregon's SOS was so strong, but they've played a real good OOC schedule (in terms of SOS). The 8 vs 4 may be correct in the absolute, but it's a distinction the models would have a hard time discerning.

Listening to some sports talk radio tonight traveling through Illinois. I don’t know who the guy is, name of Shawn Hannity or Hannaty (I have no idea of the spelling). Anyway, this guy is being interviewed and he is saying that if both Kansas and LSU run the table and win their conference championships, then Kansas jumps LSU and plays OSU (assuming they don’t get beat) for the NC. So he is saying the Big 12 is a harder schedule than the SEC.

Anyone know who this Hannity or Hannaty guy is? I’ve listened to lots of sports talk and read lots of newspapers and I have never seen anything about him. Is he supposed to be credible?

    Any info on him???

Kansas would jump us I think.

I don't buy into the harder strength of schedule crap. We've played 5 teams that are CURRENTLY in the top 25. Arky should be ranked/flirting with 25 when we play them. That would make 6.

Make it to the SECCG game and win, 7 ranked opponents. NC/Bowl will be 8 ranked opponents.

Now -- keep in mind if arkansas is ranked when we play them.. we win and proceed to play for the NC/bowl game -- 9 opponents that are/were ranked at one time.

    Who can best that?
