Of course not. I switched her to affordable and normal dog food. She's awesome. Half pit, half pointer.
On one of the first season's episodes of Shark Tank a vetenarian from I think Maine or New Hampshire was on pitching a dog food he had made. It was supposed meet all of a dog's dietary needs and keep them healthy for years. He even had his dog with him that was still frisky and was 25 years old. If you care about your dog you will find this guy and try the food. Whenever I've had dogs and cats I feed them Science Diet that you can buy in a lot of stores.
I feed mine Nutro Ultra. It's got a lot of healthy ingredients in it but I started it cause my male dachsie started having seizures. Put him on the food and they stopped. That was 7-8 years ago. And both of mine are very healthy.
Been my moniker for over 20 years due to my love of dachshunds. Even have friends who use it as my nickname. Lol
Funny story to add. One of my friends was at her chiropractors office for an apt and was meeting me for dinner afterwards. She told him she was going to meet her friend dachsie. He thought she was meeting a friend who was a doxie. Needless to say hilarity ensued at dinner that nite
