Here's my first mock of the year Miami - Glenn Dorsey, DL, LSU (Parcells starts from the inside) *Note: May go with QB Matt Ryan....we all know the QB situation in Miami St. Louis - Jake Long, OT, Michigan (Have to replace Pace soon) NY Jets - Darren McFadden, RB, Arkansas (Flash pick for NYC) Atlanta - Matt Ryan, QB, Boston College (As solid as it gets) Kansas City - James Laurinaitis, LB, Ohio State (Winner) Oakland - Chris Long, DE, Virginia (Kismet) Baltimore - Kenny Phillips, S, Miami (Miami U partnership with Reed) New England - Vernon Gholston, DE, Ohio State (sick addition) Cincinnati - Keith Rivers, LB, USC (defensive leader and winner) Denver - DeSean Jackson, WR, California (Ginn, Jr style pick upgrades playmakers) Carolina - Brian Brohm, QB, Louisville (Tough and experienced) Chicago - Andre Woodson, QB, Kentucky (Heady playmaker in the pocket) Arizona - Malcom Jenkins, CB, Ohio State (Upgrade across from Rolle) New Orleans - Sedrick Ellis, DT, USC (Improves young DL) Buffalo - Ryan Clandy, OT, Boise State (Massive T who can play in cold) Houston - Malcom Kelly, WR, Oklahoma (Finally, legitimate opposite A.J.) Detroit - Sam Baker, OT, USC (Fills big need along OL) Philadelphia - Dan Conner, LB, Penn State (Poetic if nothing else) Minnesota - Derrick Harvey, DE, Florida (Give it another try at DE) Washington - Early Doucet, WR, LSU (Snyder loves the big-names) Tennessee - Limas Sweed, WR, Texas (Makes too much sense) Dallas - Jonathan Stewart, RB, Oregon (Replaces Jones w/ all-purpose playmaker) Tampa Bay - Calais Campbell, DL, Miami (FL) (A 6-8 280 beast to lineup opposite Gaines) Seattle - Gosder Cherilus, OT, Boston College (Hasselbeck alum makes good fit) Pittsburgh - Jeff Otah, OT, Pittsburgh (Local prospect fits right in) San Diego - Mike Jenkins, CB, South Florida (If he fell to here, SD would run pick up) NY Giants - Felix Jones, RB, Arkansas (How perfect w/ McFadden going to Jets) Jacksonville - Aqib Talib, CB, Kansas (Solid addition with 6-2 205 playmaker) Green Bay - Leodis McKlevin, CB, Troy (Top return man in draft with solid secondary play) San Francisco - Mario Manningham, WR, Michigan (Keep trying until they get one right) Dallas - Antoine Cason, CB, Arizona (Needs good combine, but has credentials) New England forfeits pick.
"He's a Winner" and "He has a motor..." have to be the two most common phrases thrown around for overrated white dudes on defense. :hihi: Anyway Laurinaitis is returning for his senior season at OSU. Which means we get another year of ESPN showing us stories about his dad being a fake wrestler.
yeah, that mock was put together a few weeks ago when it appeared he would jump to the NFL. need/will update shortly after the draft order is finalized. thx :thumb:
Not saying it won't happen but (and I realize Parcells is no the coach) Parcells is known for running the 3 - 4 defense. I wonder .... nevermind, I forgot its Glenn Dorsey I'm talking about. Carry on men (and ladies).
I have no idea if Sed will still be on the board by the 14th pick but it's something to keep in mind that he and Coach O were together at SC for 2 years. Considering how he's done this week at the Senior Bowl, it's looking like he's more of a top 10 for sure.
its safe to say no he will not. sadly, the saints are deficient at defensive tackle despite taking 100 linemen in the first round the last 100 years minus russell erxleben, punter extraordinaire. this guy receives the lets all jump on my bandwagon at once award. or better yet, the thank you frank beamer prevent defense for upping my draft stock 3 rounds award. seriously, matt ryan is now a top 4 pick? i mean i like the guy but let's be serious. ive seen him a few times and hes really good but how does this happen. anyone miss the first 3 1/2 quarters against va tech? seriously, matt freaking ryan? id take my chances on a dorsey or a mcfadden. you know, proven guys against NFL caliber competition. call me crazy.
