I think their pitcher was the reason our bats were cold.

Well, I hope there is a big drop-off to their third pitcher, because the Tigers could not seem to hit the ball.

I like LSU's chances tomorrow, Omaha on the line, in The Box...But, man, the hitting needs to step up. Hopefully Eades will be on it.

well, we've held them to 15 scoreless innings over the past two days, and Gausman got kinda screwed the 2 innings they scored on him because he isn't good with a wet ball

their two starters have been unstoppable:

    McNitt
    7 inn, held us to 3 of 23 (.130), 1 run (0.77 ERA)

    Johnson
    9 inn, held us to 3 of 27 (.111), 1 run (1.00 ERA)

but we destroyed the Stony Brook bull pen (3 guys, and their highest-drafted pitcher pitched 3 of the innings).
4 and 1/3 inn, we went 6 of 18 (.300) against them, 4 runs (gave them a whooping 8.31 ERA)

    Nola went 6 inn, gave up 9 of 27 (.300), 2 runs (3.00 ERA)

our bull pen (Cotton 3 innings, everybody else 1) went 6 inn, holding them to 5 of 20 (.250), 2 runs (3.00 ERA)

Gausman went 8 innings, and limited them to 6 of 26 (.231), 3 runs (3.38 ERA)

except Cotton, our bull pen is all fully rested. Eades was an All-Star in the elite Cape Cod league with these Stony Brooks guys so I hope be reminds them of that on the mound tomorrow

2 of our best 4 hitters have been no shows (Nola and Ross, and they were both sensational in the Regional at the plate). Both our senior starters who started in our 2009 National Championship Series have been no shows: Nola, Hanover)

our individual hitting in the Super:
    Katz 2 for 8 (.250), 2 RBI, 1 run, 1 home run
    Jones 3 for 9 (.333), 1 RBI, 2 run, 1 home run
    Raph 1 for 9 (.111), 1 RBI, 1 run
    Moore 2 for 6 (.333), 1 RBI, 2 run, 1 home run
    Snikeris 2 for 9 (.222)
    Dozar 1 for 2 (.500)
    Edward 1 for 4 (.250)
    Nola 0 for 7 (.000)
    Hanover 0 for 7 (.000)
    Ross 0 for 6 (.000)
    Fields 0 for 1

And their pitching has held us to 15.

As Red said I hope there's a hell of a drop off to their third starter and I hope our bats wake up.

More importantly, we better hope the weather clears and we get the game in today.

LSU is batting something like .175 in this series. It has got to get better today or we don't deserve to be in the CWS.
