So what is everyone's thoughts on UNO's coach is throwing his number 2 guy against Southern Miss. He is hoping they win and can use his ace against us. Only problem is Southern Miss is throwing their ace who is suppost to be unhittable.
I know that UNO will be very tough to beat, But I hope USM can work there pitching rotation ragged. And in a perfect world, I'd like to see UNO play 2 games before meeting us...or not at all...
He is also thinking about all the left handed powers in LSU's line up and his right handed ace matches up well with them. It's a good plan if he can get past Southern Miss with his #2.
yep. but southern miss isnt a push over. so it will be a good match up. southern miss is 40-20 and 36 in boyds world. uno is 42-19 and 44 in boyds world. (neither are in any top 25 polls.) throwing a #2 against a #1 i think is a gamble. if it pays off, a good one. but thats a big iff. i agree with the thought of i hope they both go through some arms and are ragged by their second games.
I predict the gamble fails, they lose the 1st game, win their 2nd game, and then have to come back with their #2 to beat us in game 3. LSU 3-0.
I assume you're not as well versed in the baseball postseason as you are with football? If UNO loses game 1, they'll have to win 2 games just to get to Sunday, so we'd be their 4th game if we win our first two.
correct....my bad so they would be back with their #1 in game 4. I think the logic by their head coach is sound. You either get the Tigers in game 2 or game 4 with your #1.
I just received this e-mail message from the LSU Ticket Office: We regret to inform you that due to an overwhelming and unprecedented response from Baseball Season Ticket Holders and LSU Students, NCAA Baseball Regional ticket books are sold out. Regional ticket books will NOT go on sale today through the previously offered Promotion Code or through any other means. A limited number of single game Standing Room Only tickets may still be available for purchase on the day of the game at Alex Box Stadium, however there is no guarantee. We also encourage you to check the LSU Ticket Marketplace throughout the week for tickets put on sale by season ticket holders who may not be able to attend some of the games. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this unforeseen development may cause. Thank you for your support of LSU Athletics.
I was going to get tickets through UNO but they are only selling them for the possible games UNO will be in. If you want to take a shot in case LSU and UNO play I think you can order them over the phone starting at noon today from UNO. 504-280-GAME. I'm guessing you will have to pick them up from UNO. Or maybe they can will call them at LSU. Here's the article link. http://www.unoprivateers.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=16700&ATCLID=1474825
