I had it on CST but it was the WSU version. Funny to see a game in perspective of the other side. Hell of a second half. While WSU deserved the win it looked like LSU was gong to steal one. Since when do you have a center hit a 3 with 7 seconds left? That was clutch on their part. I hated to see the TO at the end. Would have been interesting if Turner or Stringer had gotten a shot off. Turner was on fiyah in the second. I like this team. The SEC in basketball is a little weak so anything can happen. It will probably take a 21-22 win season with LSU's losses coming against tourney teams to get in but if they can get the post play together (Green is a big key) and it could start swinging our way.
I think it's easy to come to the conclusion that the SEC is weak, but relatively speaking, we're about where we usually are, among the top 5 or 6 toughest conferences... According to ESPN... Ranking the conferences: From 1 to 32 - College Basketball Nation Blog - ESPN Weekly Watch: Week 4 - ESPN That said, for everyone who is getting down on the Tigers, we're not alone. Tennessee losing to Oakland and Charlotte, Mississippi State losing, Florida loses to a no-name, after beating Kansas St. It's been an up and down season for everyone. I suppose that the good and bad of it. If the entire SEC West is basically floundering, LSU has a chance to compete and win some games. The bad is if some of these SEC teams don't keep winning against OOC teams, we aren't going to be doing ourselves any big favors winning against our SEC schedule. What we have to hope for is a streaky, young LSU team to get hot at the right time and watch out for them by the SEC tournament. I continue to say, if they continue to shoot reasonably well, but shore up the defense and rebounding, this team has a chance to be pretty good. Regardless, the SEC will be better in years to come. Solid recruiting classes coming in across the board in 2011....
