Getting throttled. 42-26 at halftime. LSU wonders why there is no attendance at the games. They schedule teams like UNT, McNeese, Coastal Carolina at home, with games like Wichita St. and Memphis at neutral sites. Not only that, now LSU can't even BEAT these no-name mid majors. Getting dominated in every aspect. 27-15 rebounding advantage to UNT 33% to 48% FG shooting FTs 11-12 for UNT, 4-10 for LSU.
Yikes. Sorry I asked... Seriously, is this a "growing pains" issue with the team so far? I can't understand having so much trouble against these mid-majors, especially at home. To think that the PMAC was known as the "Deaf Dome." :geauxtige
As much as LSU is struggling, I still expect them to win about 6 games in the SEC. The SEC is that bad.
That was the worst half of basketball from an LSU team I have seen in a long time. The defense is terrible, getting into the paint with ease. It is becoming obvious when Stringer and Turner are having off night's which they are so far this team will struggle to win any games no matter the opposition.
I have been a Trent Johnson supporter and I know experience makes a big difference, but this is ridiculous.
UNT is 9-2. Just trying to add something positive, I realize this is a trying time to be an LSU hoops fan.
They beat Texas Tech? Just trying to stay positive. And the good news is that the SEC is painfully bad this year. Despite beating Pittsburgh, Tennessee has lost to Charlotte and Oakland in recent weeks. Florida lost to Jacksonville. Not good when you are losing to colleges which sound like NFL franchises, so LSU may be able to squeeze out a respectable conference record.
The sec is bad but I don't see this team winning 6 in the sec. No inside presence to speak of to go along with a team that does'nt shoot or rebound the ball very well and so far this season looks to be a bad defensive team. I hope Johnson can get it turned around but after 12 games we have not seen any improvement at all.
