The team is encouraging overall. Looked impressive against Houston and showed some fortitude coming back against Central Michigan. While the post play is suspect I think they will get better. Maybe not NCAA's better but a good shot at the NIT. Next year should be a better gauge of where this program is headed.
Things are looking up. Took a tough McNeese State team to OT. McNeese was 10-20 last year so the step up in competition will help.
:hihi: and SEC West predicted 1st place team, Mississippi State lost to East Tennessee State (4-4) and Florida Atlantic (4-4). Coastal Carolina is 8-2. What's your point?
!!!! After beating #3 Pitt no less. Frankly, LSU fans want the SEC teams to win OOC, so when LSU beats them in SEC play, LSU's RPI goes up. :hihi:
My point is that I was sick of the Brady bashing for 10 years even when we were in contention for championships. Now, we can't beat Helen Keller U and you are all happy as pigs in sh!t. Yeah yeah, I know. It'll get better. Yay.
For the record, I was a Brady supporter and thought he did a lot with what he had to deal with early on with the sanctions. I was also shocked that he didn't have more supporters in 2006 when they made their FF run. He started to lose me in 2007-8 with his recruiting and antics. I think LSU got an upgrade in Trent, but frankly LSU lost alot of it's basketball fans with Brady. Hopefully, things will play out like we hope. of course, "helen keller u" is a little extreme, when you consider that Brady didn't leave the cupboard very full after GT and Marcus Thornton. Again, only time will tell.
It's crazy how the SEC West can nearly get all of their teams bowl eligible, yet can't get any teams into the NCAA tournament.
