i watched the shaq interview and didnt find it as negative or critical as most people interpreted it. and even if we do take it to mean LSU failed shareef and he resents LSU for it, we have a new coach who may give reef more playing time. and anyways that roster i just imagined was the super duper optimistic best case scenario fantasy outcome where everyone decides they love baton rouge and want to be basketball versions of joey B that cries when asked how much LSU means to them

this guy and the NC st guy both seem like disaffected players unhappy with minutes. seem to be constructing a team out of misfit toys. we need bodies, so i cant complain i guess. i was spoiled by wade who was pretty much high 4 stars and up only at this point.
i looked up this new guy and he looks like a ballhandling forward type. i suspect he is athletic, can handle the rock reasonably well for a guy his size, but cant shoot for shit. else he would be really highly ranked.
ok i looked at highlights and i stand corrected. his deficiency is a lack of elite athleticism. decent ball handler, ok shooter. not quick, or athletic. LSU was at a level where basically every player could sky for nuclear jams. these new guys are not that sort. lower ceiling guys, but still might be ok. they wont be floating into the stratosphere like eric gaines though.
I think you can win in college with workman-like players who stick around. Actually think a good coach could make it work real well.
rumours persist about red and miller considering staying. lets say they do. juice hill, trae hannibal, both from murray, cam hayes from NC st adam miller, justice williams mwani W, derek fountain (ms st transfer) kendal coleman NW st transfer efton reid corneilus williams freshman that team could win a few SEC games.
jerrel colbert to kansas st. i saw him in person vs nicholls and he was athletic. after that hardly played any minutes whatsoever.
