Who cares? Basketball settles it on the court.

A win at Rupp Arena will go a long way in helping the LSU cause.

I'll definitely give them credit for Marquette, but even considering their horrible schedule Gtown has really fallen off lately and that win doesn't mean as much as it did a month ago. UT still has to return the favor in Gainesville, so we'll see how good they really are over the final SEC stretch.

i was just saying that if youre gonna rank on objective criteria, then they have some stuff. theyre a little weak based on the smell test. i think theyre similar to LSU's team during glen davis's last year. they lost their guards and arent getting good shots. pearl has already corrected some of it by having hopson drive a lot. im glad we played them early. (wish we wouldve played UF early too.)

Actually, we only had one big-time game - Xavier. I believe that's the only ranked team we played. Of course, we lost, but it was a good game.

We lost games to Utah (our only real disappointing loss) and aTm.

Bama is our only SEC loss so that's not a big deal. We haven't lost to any awful teams and were only blown out once.

The SEC is weak this year and rankings aren't a big deal right now. But I would say that the way LSU has destroyed some SEC teams is being a little overlooked. We killed a good South Carolina team by 18, destroyed Ole Miss by 30+ (who then went on to beat Kentucky) and stomped Miss St. by 24 or something. We basically were blowing out Tennessee and Arkansas as well. Both made great comebacks and we almost lost to Tennessee. Still, we got the road W and beat Arkansas by double digits. It's not like this team is squeaking by each game. They are missing a win though over a signature team. The problem is that even in SEC play this year, there aren't any real signature Ws to be had. A win over Florida or UK would be nice though. Things are looking good though.

I'm very interested in seeing how the Tigers will perform during the remainder of the schedule. Especially now that nagging injuries are starting to creep up, I'm a little concerned about our depth problems if our starters begin to wear down late in the season. If that happens the team will need good coaching more than ever.

i hope ctj rests some of the players during the next 6 games. check that out. unless things change the tigers will be big favorites in the next 6 games. ctj can take a calculated risk at a loss or two to the benefit of deepening the bench and limiting injury. i vote for playing warren a lot because we really need his post D help. and give martin a second chance---the most difficult to replace member of the team is marcus. if he goes down, itd be nice to have martin somewhat ready.
