since Eades has been struggling badly as of late, freshman Nola replaces him as our Saturday starter tonight Nola has a 6-2 record, 3.90 ERA, 57 Ks in 62 innings and opponents are hitting .246 against him. he was taken in the 22nd round of the draft Vandy counters with lefty Sam Selman of Austin, TX, who has a 7-3 record, 4.25 ERA, 60 Ks in 53 innings and opponents are hitting .240 against him. he was taken in 14th round of the draft (the starting pitcher LSU faced yesterday was taken in 48th round of draft)
last season, Vandy humiliated us at their place, sweeping us 11-3, 10-1, 10-7 this is not forgotten the guys that started that series: Rhymes, Austin Nola, Ross, Jones, Hanover, Dozar and the guys that pitched that series Gausman, Cotton, McCune, Rumbelow, Berry, etc
Saturday night game: For others like me (East Texas) that don't get DISH 423 where the game is supposedly being broadcast, it's blacked-out on espn3.com for me as well... here's a link to watch it live via internet: http://www.justin.tv/lsuball#/w/3063634864/13 for some reason the 'link' icon is grayed out for me =S so copy/paste into your browser address bar .....
vandy takes game 2 vandy was preseason top 10 and has the product of several #1 recruiting classes on their team
Goody had been so good this year, one bad pitch. Oh well, hope that he goes on another great streak and doesn't let the blown save effect him.
