Had a feeling we were going down this game because of the ULL pitcher is the same one who took us down last year when he played for UNO. Just didn't think our pitching would get molested. Well besides Ott.
Ok, guys, I need your help in spreading this throughout Tiger Nation. ULL will now be referred to as ULoL. Please make a note of it. Thanks.
Five pitchers and all of them got behind in the count since not one of them could find the damn strike zone. So all ULL had to do was sit on fastballs. And Ott looked like he just had no zip on his.
It seems like since his freshman year, opponents have figured Ott out. I hope that's not the case, but something is off.
I have heard a bunch of stories. Basically he threw slower as a freshman only by about 4mph but he had a ton of movement in his breaking pitches and even his fastball. He changed up the throwing motion some and now throws faster with almost no movement at all. Hitters dream...
I don't know if there's a connection but he hasn't been the same since that long relief outing against Bama last season.
