Oh well...hopefully we'll start getting the offense together tomorrow. I can't remember many times we've had a goose egg on the board. Enjoy the rest of your evening.....................
Yeah, sorry, forgot about that. You'd think I would remember these situations considering we kept screwing them up.
Seemed like any hit we got was with two outs already, and nobody came through in the clutch. We seem to be missing that guy this year who steps up and delivers when it has to be done. Past years, game on the line, somebody comes through. It's early, we'll get much better. But I expected someone to come through in the clutch, same as last night. We played the best and they beat us Now we know where we stand.:geauxtige
I dunno, it might just be me, but I am pretty sure we just lost to a CRAZY deep pitching team like UF by 1 with a freshman starting it out...... LSU is legit. Will be fun to watch em grow.... 16-3 with 2 to a legit #1 is nothing to worry about. Just my 2 cents....
New bats? It's not like anyone else is lighting up the score board against good pitching. The boys have played well. Like someone else said, we've lost three games, two against one of the best teams in the country, all by one run. I just wonder how much these bats are affecting the outcome of the games...
The "worry" to me is really all about all the infield errors and our performance with games on the line. Last night, today, and even with the bases loaded with 1 out needing only a run to entend the game in our first loss vs. Princeton. You don't want it to get in the players' heads about not coming through in the clutch. Look at the Miami Heat as a good example. Supremely talented, can beat anyone, but may lack confidence in the clutch. Its a trend that can and will cost you championships, and in LSU baseball, that's how they're measured. Fair or not.
Well, basketball to baseball is a bad comparison. A Freaking LEFTY came in throwing 94heat... Just face it, we are a young team, that played EXTREMELY WELL, but just got beat by a better team....
Not to scare anyone, but Vandy's pitching staff might be even better than UF's. They have thrown 3 shutout games in a row, and the game before that they gave up just 1 run.
