We got out to a 2-0 start in the 1st and added one in the 3rd for a 3-0 lead before giving up a run in the 6th. We collapsed in the 7th giving up three runs to fall behind 4-3. After failing to score in the bottom of the 7th we sat them down in order in the 8th. Time for the rally caps!!! :tigbas:

Cal State's a gritty team. We've got to stop having these middle inning offensive outages. Congrats to Matty Ott, now LSU's all-time saves leader. Ott - 30 Rick Greene - 29
I would've been happy maintaining the 3-0 lead but these are the types of games we need under our belt when we reach the post-season. It's nice to look back and have confidence that we'll get it done even down to the last inning...out...or strike. I'll take every win so we can host a regional again. Playing in a high school park (UCLA) made my stomach turn last year.
Nice come from behind win tonight. Got a little dicey there in the 9th... Let's sweep these guys!! :geauxtige
Errors by LSU were the only reason that this was even a ball game. That's uncharacteristic of a Maineri team. Gotta clamp down if we want to win this series. A west coast team will kill you on errors and walks.
Instant classic game tonight. Weird plays, bad calls, clutch hits, etc... Nice football like hit by Jones after missing the ground ball. Les Miles eating grass before the 1st pitch tonight set the tone for a crazy night.
