Top of the 9th: Freshman Zach LaSuzzo (lefty) takes the mound for LSU for the first time in his LSU career. He's from Monroe. 2009 Louisiana All-State... 2008 and 2009 All-Northeast Louisiana. Single, single, walk. Bases loaded. No outs. Ott is headed to the pen to warm-up. LaSuzzo strikes out the next batter, taking the 3rd stirke looking at a fastball down the middle! 1 out. Next batter gets a sac fly, run scores (Run #5 for W&M). Next batter hits a routine flyball to right, Mahtook lost the ball in the sun, another run scores (Run #6 for W&M). 9-6 Tigers. Tying run at the plate. LaSuzzo comes out... and here comes Ott...
Ott starts off with runners at 1st and 3rd, 2 outs. Strike one. Strike two. Lineout to Hanover! Tigers win, 9-6!!!
U.S. and Canada tied 2-2! We may have to prepare for the possibility of Canada very politely burning to the ground if their team of all-stars loses twice to the U.S.
Oh well...that sucks! The good news is I don't have to watch another hockey game for four years! :thumb:
Why all this hockey talk in the LSU baseball thread? ~~~ Congrats to the Tigers on another tough win. Make it a sweep, P&G Boys!

Top of the 1st... W&M up to bat. Double followed by a walk followed by a strike-out. Runners on 1st and 2nd, runner on 2nd tries to steal 3rd, Gibbs throws to 3B Didier, who throws to 2B Hanover... and the ball goes into right field. Mahtook throws it into the dugout. Both runners score (runs #1 and #2 for W&M). Next guy gets a single, next guy is hit by a pitch, next guy is struck-out (out #2), next guy gets an RBI single (run #3 for W&M). Next guy hits a single to right for what would have been an RBI--but RF Mahtook makes a perfect throw to get the runner out at home! Inning over. Bottom of the 1st... Watkins singled and stole 2nd. Nola walked, Dean hit a single to right, Watkins scores (run #1 for LSU), Nola is thrown out at 3rd, Dean gets to 2nd on the throw. Gibbs flies out. 2 outs. Hanover grounds out. Inning over. 3-1 W&M
Top of the 2nd... Groundout to Nola, 1 out. Groundout to Nola, 2 outs. Groundout to Didier to end the inning.
