Fine, I'll take the S off, but then i get to use "Cajun Man" Yet another local team last year who caught us exhausted on a 5-game midweek while we were getting ready for SEC play. Cajuns are 11-9 this season, 2-4 in conference and are not one of the better cajun teams in recent memory. They are hitting very well, averaging 12 a game last week. Watch for Brian Bowman to steal a base or two. No TV Rain expected late tonight, but this game should be well over before then. Low in the 60's PITCHING MATCHUP LSU - Fr. RHP Michael Reed (0-0, 7.50 ERA, 12.0 IP, 8 BB, 8 SO) ULL - Jr. RHP Michael Cook (1-1, 2.84 ERA, 12.2 IP, 5 BB, 15 SO)
usl swept nicholls to open the season, so they should be a definite "improvement" over the kolonels. hopefully m. reed has decent control and can hang in there for 3 or 4 innings. we should be able to score enough runs to circumvent any pitching problems should they arise. nice time for a baseball game to clear the mind. god, i love midweek games.
reed gave up a double to start the game.. runner reached third on an error, but LSU got out of the jam. not sure how the outs were recorded though.
bot first, LSU watkins leads off with a single. landry BB. two on, no outs. double steal. runners in position, no outs. sac fly RBI for dean. LSU - 1.
