I'm encouraged by our pitching which has held MSU to 3 and 2 runs on consecutive days. If we can get pitching like that in the SEC Tourney, we have a shot to take one or two.
Ranaudo gained lots of confidence during this series. Things are shaping up well with him along with Ross to start the first two games LSU plays in the tournament.
ross is who i am most impressed with and his improvement over the past couple of weeks. for a while there, he could barely go two innings in relief. last week he went 5, and this week he went 7 starting. hopefully the others will have whatever he's drinking!:thumb:
but what about offense? we need to be able to score runs. if we lose both of our games 2-1 or 3-2 i will not be happy.
i cringed on friday scoring 17 runs. i cant remember who i said it to (you maybe?) but that i wished there were some way we could bank a few of those runs for the third game. and if we lose on a score like that, im not gonna be happy either.
