Haven't been to a game at the new stadium yet, but my wife is treating me for my b'day this weekend. We plan to head down to BR from B'ham on Friday and catch the game, but it is a sell out...standing room only. Saturday we will be in New Orleans. I can't find a pair of tickets to Friday's game ANYWHERE (Ebay, Stub Hub, etc.).

What is it like outside the stadium prior to first pitch? Are folks selling tickets? Someone please advise because if not then it looks like I am stuck with a pair of standing room only tickets and I need to pull the trigger on them before they sell out. Thanks!

They are strongly discouraging sales right outside the gates this year. Doesn't mean you won't find one. However, since this is the leader of the west vs. the leader of the east and the last home series of the year, unless there is bad weather, they are expecting huge crowds each day. Good luck finding anything other than standing room only. If you do find it, it should be for a good price. It's been my experience people generally are selling face value or 5-10 above.

I generally buy the standing room only and stand in the concourse behind home plate. You get a great view of the game, but obviously you don't get to sit down much.

If standing there is an option (and your view isn't obstructed by 20 other people) then I have no problem with standing room if I'm at the game!!!

Standing Room Only tickets are $10 a pop. Get there early, buy the tickets, then tailgate if you can. The only problem getting tickets was for the first game so, I think you should be able to get in without a hitch.

its not obstructed if you get up on the concourse. You should be able to find a good view and all you have to do is walk to the ticket counter to buy the ticket as opposed to buying from people.

Don't forget to buy yourself a $3 dollar 12 oz. Community Coffee before you leave to enhance your experience.

If it is just two of you, buy the standing only tickets. But don't worry about having to stand. You will be able to find 2 seats together almost anywhere to be able to sit in.
