Have you guys looked at the run LSU makes starting on Thurs? 9 games in 11 days, one of them in Shreveport with a game at home the previous day. If LSU can remain undefeated through that (opponents aren't exactly Top 10) then I think our mid-relief and mid-week pitching will be good enough to make another run at it. But the next 12 days will definitely give the pitching staff (and these kids' academic workload) a very good test. Opponents are: Pepperdine Brown Pepperdine Brown ....day off... UL-Monroe @Northwestern State ...day off... Kansas Kansas Kansas
Doesn't matter that it isn't top 10 opponents, that is a pretty daunting challenge to get thru unscathed. I would be impressed if we only dropped 2 during that run. :tigbas: :LSU231:
this. but to me, this early in the season, it's not about wins and losses. it's about getting as many guys (especially pitchers) as much PT as possible. and it's good to give the batters as many looks as possible because at this level, almost every school has someone that can shut you down. and you KNOW that they'll throw said guy at LSU. if we can get guys like hanover and landry seeing the ball a bit better, i think we'd benefit greatly at the plate.
