That was confusing but the article is correct. That was the outcome of the 1st game of the series which also went into extra innings. Last night Arky tied it up with a solo homer with 1 out left in the 9th. ASU hit a 2 run homer in the 11th or 12th to take the lead and held on for the W last night and won by 2. I think 8-6.
Ok. Got 2 spots remaining: Winner of Bama/Clemson Winner of Oklahoma/UVa Those that are in: TCU FSU Florida SCe UCLA Arizona St As much sucking up as the polls have done with Virginia all year, it'd be a shame if they didn't make it. :hihi:
no theres more than that. OhioSt, Stanford. also depends how you define championship in fb, but youve established a liberal view with lsu's bkball nc.
Don't ever use the word liberal when referring to me! :hihi: I'm not sure if anyone else claims to be the '35 champions but the tournament hadn't started yet so it seems more legitimate than some of the football titles claimed by Alabama and Michigan. I forgot about Ohio State. I'm so accustomed to them finishing #2, I forgot they've occasionally finished first. Stanford's football title was in 1926. They tied Alabama and each claimed the national title.
 Even when they lose the bowl game and still claim the national title. (with the team they lost to)
wow. andrew tried. bama scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 9th but lost 8-6. clemson goes to omaha. what a shame. i was hoping for four of the five sec teams to make it.
I stopped watching after 7 innings and Clemson up 8-1. Don't think i really like Clemson's baseball field. No warning track, instead, the ground gets higher as you get near the fence. stupid.
