Baseball replay finally used

    Rays/Yankees game

    A-Rod hits a homer that goes over the foul pole (akin to a kicker kicking the ball over the goal post). The initial call was declared a home run.

    Tampa has this vertical yellow extension indicator that goes above the foul pole for reference. The ball was clearly left of that indicator by 3 feet or so.

    So much for replay.

    Ditch it while you're behind, MLB.

    yep.

    I think they figured they owed him one from earlier in the year when he was robbed.

    I googled a couple of articles about the replay and there was no mention of the call being wrong or replays showing otherwise.

    I catch most of the Rays games here in Florida. It was fairly apparent.

    Apparent? Like in football there has to be overwhelming evidence, and there obviously wasn't any.
