i think that they just need to get home and regroup. that's all that can be said. i'm sure we'll start on a tear pretty soon. we have vandy, kentucky and then state so that's a lot easier than ole miss and florida back-to-back and on the road... then the tourney, where anything can happen.
I haven't lost faith in this team yet, hopefully they haven't either. Pitching and batting slumps, at the same time are a recipe for disaster for this team, as we have seen. Hopefully a trip home cures our problems.
One can only hope. My fear is that should we continue this current skid this team will lose all confidence and focus, as was evident this past weekend. I think all we need to do is get a couple of W's under our belt and we will get back on track.
in a way, i hate to say this, but it kind of makes things interesting with 11 regular season games left. ross gets the start tonight, so you'd think that this could be the beginning of a turnaround because ross is a guy that LSU will need if they want to do anything beyond a regional. however, SLU is countering with josh janway (3-0, 2.08 ERA) so, the match up looks anything but favorable for us. hopefully mainieri juggled the lineup and moved guys like mahtook, edwards and landry further down in the order. those guys have been hot, the rest have not.

Bad Year - Baseball is not reaching expections, Basketball was a disaster & football was no where near what we were expecting.. I'm sure looking forward to next year - I think???
