LSU is down to 6 outs.

I stepped away, but I think Miller is up

    0-1
Grounder to Nola - Automatic Out

    Mort:
    0-1
    1-1
    2-1
    3-1
    Alsup walks his first batter

For the SECT there will be a rule that when no one is on base, pitchers will have 20 seconds between pitches to move the games along. Don't know the penalty.

    Yarbrough:
    0-1
    1-1
    Pick-off attempt.
    Pick-off attempt #2
    Swings and misses on a change-up - 1-2
Chopped to Dean, he makes the throw to Nola, and Nola throws it away. It hits the wall, and Dean recovers it, so the runner did not advance.

    Alsup is done.

WONDERFUL outing by him. Honestly I have not been very high on him, but he did very well.

5 innings pitched (18 batters faced)
    4 hits, 1 run
    1 walk, 3 strike outs.

Lasuzzo comes in to replace Alsup

Something to note: OM has stranded 3 on base, LSU: 9

    Phillips at bat:

    Nevermind,...

Pinch hitter. Didn't catch his name.
    2 outs, man on 1st.
    Pick-off attempt #1
    1-0
Ump gives batter a time out during Laasuzza's wind-up.
    Swings and misses 1-1
Hits it in the left field gap.

    OM sends the runner HOME??!

He is out by about 2 steps.

    Top of the 8th.

    Dean, Gibbs, Gaudet coming up.

1st pitch hit right at the 1st baseman. He has been doing that a lot this year it seems.

    Gibbs:
    1st pitch fouled off.
    Chopper to 2B.

    2 outs.

The middle and bottom of the order is going to have to win this for us.

    Gaudet:
    1st PITCH HOMER!!!

    10-9

    Landry:
    0-1
    Fouled back
    0-2
    1-2
    2-2 - CLOSE
Popped out to Right-center. Wind held that one up.

Hanover-Dozar-Dishon will be the ones we will be counting on in the 9th.

    Mormann in for the Tigers

    Hightower (1-3)
    1-0
    1-1
    2-1
    3-1
    Leadoff walk.

    Not good.

Top of the order up for Ole Piss.

    Ferguson (4-4):
    1-0
    1-1
    2-1
    2-2 - check swing
    Fouled - 2-2

Called strike 3 - Ferguson gets put out for the first time.

    Mormann is coming out.

Chris Cotton replacing him. I really like this guy. I think he will end up being a great pitcher for us in the future.

    Hamblin up (1-3)
    0-1 swings and misses
    1-1
    2-1
    3-1
    Fouled - 3-2
Pick-off attempt almost sailed over Dean.
Payoff pitch - STRIKE OUT swinging.

    2 outs.

    Smith:
    1-0
    Coach's meeting at the mound
    2-0 WAY outside
Fouled off the end of the bat 2-1
    Just misses
    3-1
    Walks him

    Not what we wanted here.

    Snyder up (3-4 2 HRs 5 RBI):
    Come on Cotton.
    1-0
    1-1 (GOOD changeup)
    2-1
    Drops in centerfield
    Another RBI for Snyder.
    11-9

You cannot walk guys in this type of situation...

    Men on 1st and 3rd.

    Cotton is coming out.

    Bertuccini vs. Miller

Miller (0-4) is the only OM player to not reach player today.

    1-0 misses outside.
    1-1 breaking ball (go figure)
    1-2 (guess what he threw)
    Fans out.

    New pitcher for OM: Huber.

    Their closer? Not sure.
