You knew this was coming What a game we have tonight. Ranaudo vs National Mid-Season Player of the Year (and rumored pitching android) Drew Pomeranz. The rest of the series may not be as difficult as you expect. Ole Miss hasn't been impressive against some of the weaker SEC competition (hitting under .300 in conference play) and still doesn't have a Sunday starter. Frankly, given CPM's tendency to play for the series instead of the sweep, I half expected our starting rotation be shuffled around Pomeranz. Watch for Zach Miller and Kevin Mort at the plate. All this may be for naught, as the weather is definitely not going to cooperate. As of this writing, Oxford is already under a Tornado watch fro the rest of the day and Saturday looks even worse. Double-headers and make up games are a real possibility. TV is freaky this weekend, ZOMBIE DAVE NEAL WARNING on Saturday. Saturday and Sunday's games are free online on ESPN360 ESPN3.com if your ISP supports it. Opposition Opinion: Remember when we were going to get Mike Bianco to replace Smoke? if it was the same front that moved through here last night, and it hits this evening, friday will get rained out. the good news is, what we got was fast moving and it is absolutely beautiful today! either way, i hope those boys got some rest after the extra innings on sunday, and two mid-weeker's.
i wouldnt be at all surprised if they call a rain out and do a double header tomorrow. the game tomorrow starts at 3 so that gives time for a night game for a make up game. i guess we shall see. any sippians want to give us an idea of weather/radar? is the tf version of jim cantori around?
well, you don't say... :dis: :hihi: this sucks, i have been looking forward to pomeranz all season, just like i'm sure LSU has been. i was ready to see our bats pound him into oblivion.
