I always thought Todd Walker's #12 should have been retired, even before Furniss. Walker made the all time World Series team and is one of the Top 50 all time great college players. The sweetest swing in the game at that time. Was Mr. Clutch in the World Series.

I agree about Walker, also think Aaron Hill may eventually be up there.

armando rios deserved the cws mvp the year walker won it but walker had all the hype going in.

and this was the 165 lb version of armando we are talking about.

Hill was a great player. They may make it. But McDonald's number was retired not all that long after he played. I think they would be up there already.

yes they get retired for what they did at LSU.

Rios was a bundle of energy and catalyst for that team. I truely enjoyed watching him play. But Walker's batting average was nearly .400 for his career. Hopefully Paul can get his hands on those type players for his program.

Yea I figured he would make it by virtue of what he does in the Show, not really what he did his three years of PT, even though he was always a solid player.

Pro ball has no bearing on retirement supposedly. We know it would influence it some though

Walker and Furniss should both have their numbers retired IMO, I think they deserved it more than McDonald.

Walker may deserve it as much as McDonald but not more, no way. Eddie? maybe but he didn't have as many tools as walker.
