Agree to disagree, but the team ERA in the series was 9.

    That speaks for itself.

You score 26 runs in 3 games, you should win all 3.

CPM also needs to make personnel decisions at 3B and LF, and stick with them. Dishon, Delatte, Dozar, Didier, now Katz and Gaudet are in the mix.....no one can get comfortable, because no one's in the same position 2 games in a row.

True, but you have to admit that's a little decieving, since 14 were in the first game. We scored more in the first game than the last two combined.

If we were discussing this Friday night, I would agree wholeheartedly with you!
But like I said, I'm not just talking about this game. I'm talking about "recently". A few of the big boys are struggling right now. Also, I really accepted the fact that we aren't a great pitching staff. I just expected the bats to bail us out. I'm not talking about home runs, just timely hitting. We aren't getting that right now.

Since our pitching needs help, I wonder what the surreptitious application of Redfish slime would do to a baseball's aerodynamics? Maybe...just maybe...Fishead could provide a reliable supply to the LSU pitching staff for the remainder of the regular season and beyond. :hihi:.

Ouch, this one stings. Losing our 2nd series this season to a completely inferior team due to horrible pitching and situational batting, which will not cut it given our upcoming schedule. Thats the bad news. The good news is we are pacing 13-3/16 games, which if we only meltdown 1series in 16 games, on that pace all will be ok.

yeah, that's what i think needs to happen. like i posted earlier in this thread, i think dozar is your best bet offensively. the problem is that his defense isn't all that solid at third. i think mainieri knows what he'll get out of them offensively, but is trying to see who possesses the most solid glove.

Agree with you. Pitching is still what will hold this team back from greatness.

I also think that the phrase "clutch hitting" is somewhat overused. If you get runners on base, eventually it's going to even out over a season. The pitching, especially inconsistent starting, is the much bigger issue.
