well F. hit into a double play. 3rd one LSU has hit into today. Ironically, Arkansas is 3rd-worst in the SEC when it comes to turning double plays, and LSU is 2nd-best in the SEC when it comes to grounding into double plays, only having done it 7 times before today (now 10 times, which is still 2nd-best in the SEC) And Hanover grounds out to end it 2 games left
Where is the LSU Tiger baseball we all know and love??? Dangit guys, get your butts in gear!:geauxtige
Frustrating loss, only the 2nd time we've been shut-out this year (other was in the 1-0 loss in Game 2 vs Florida). As for lack of timely-hitting... you'd think that was our biggest problem this year, but looking at the SEC stats coming into today, we are #1 in the SEC in runs scored with 220 (while #2 thru #6 only have 190-199) and we are #1 the SEC in RBIs with 197 (while #2 thru #5 only have 170-180), and that is despite being #9 in the SEC in both at-bats and total plate appearances. So it appears we are the best team in the SEC when it comes to timely-hitting, surprisingly. What we need to improve on is our team pitching (4th-worst in the SEC by ERA, we have an ERA of 4.09 compared to #1/#2 at 2.28/2.33) and our team defense (2nd-worst in SEC in fielding percentage and 2nd-worst in SEC with most errors) BASEBALL >2011 SEC Stats
