Now that most of everyone has JJ playing 10th string running back for the Tigers, we all know he will play next week (and possibly start). My question is this: What are the odds we see Bailey get involved? Since JJ has played so incredibly poor, and Lee still isn't the answer, why not give one more guy some reps, just in case? Imagine if Lee gets hurt next week... JJ goes back in. Now, maybe Bailey shouldn't play next week considering the environment and the team we are playing, but what if they played him against McNeese a bit just to see? Imagine if he pulled a Rohan and wows us, becoming a gem from the bench. But we will probably never see him play ever. Oh well. At least give him a shot.
Oh hell no. The last thing we need is Gary Crowton ruining yet another QB and screwing with his head. He'll be gone by year's end, at least give the kid a shot at proper development. He doesn't play a down unless Lee and Jefferson both go down for good.
WOW! a little over a month ago, people were b!tching that all we had behind lee and jj was a couple walk-ons. now people want to see the walk-on play.
You know as well as I do that it's only a matter of time before JL becomes JL again. If you watch that game again, you'll see that JL wasn't as stellar as it seems to some. Yes, he made a couple good throws and looked decent in that last drive, but overall he made mistakes that NO ONE should make (especially that one he threw up in the air - WTF was that?). Not saying he should start, but given JJ is more than likely unless (sounds mean), if Lee gets hurt like he did in '08, it might help to have someone throw at least one pass. Not seeing why this is so extreme.
my post was more to give people a hard time than anything else. but i think the old JL is still better than the current JJ since we have a D capable of backing him up now. if he gets hurt, we're even more phucked than we are now.
I'm waiting for Miles to put BOTH on the field at the same time and make the defense guess which one is getting the snap. Sadly I do think he's done but I know dam well Miles ain't done with him yet.
