As long as Cody is playing on the d-line it will be tough to run on Bama. He made the others look like All-Americans.
There is a RS Freshman playing in the rotation with Cody that will probably be just as a beast as Cody once he gets comfortable. Josh Chapman out of Hoover, AL. The OL said he WAS THE hardest DL to block this offseason. Granted he's not as "big" as Cody but he's still in excess of 300lbs. What makes Cody so hard to block is not necassarily how big he is but how agile he is. The big boy can move. And I mean not just move for a guy his size he can flat out move. Chapman played in the game Saturday but obviously did not have the impact Cody did. I think as he gets more comfortable he will be just as big of an impact.
Of course Chapman is going to be good. Any in-state linemen that Alabama ignores and goes with Auburn turns out to be an All-American.
I agree. Alabama (unfortunately for Bama fans) has/had gotten to the point where teams just really didn't have to do a whole bunch to beat us. I've said before on Tidefans. Alabama has become "the big team" in the SEC that directional schools have beat the most. And that Alabama has lost to more directional schools than any other SEC mid tier and up team combined over the last ten years. That's pitiful. That is sinking lower than low. However, Saban is busting his ballz to change that and bring Alabama to a point where when teams line up against them they know they're about to go up against a hard hittin' team. The Clemson game was THE FIRST TIME I'd seen an Alabama team play that physical in dang near ten years. We beat Florida in 05 and Tennessee in 07 by wide blow out margins but we didn't physically dominate them. I enjoyed Saturday night. :thumb:
shula ignored him and he committed to auburn. saban then offered him a scholarship and not a greyshirt and the rest is history.
