I read that Barksdale came in the title game for Stewart at some point. Can anyone verify that? I believe Jarvis Jones replaced Stewart in a previous game, unless I am mistaken and he replaced Hitt. Anyway the point is who will start in place of Carnel Stewart next year? Will it be Barkdale, Jones, etc. This assumes everyone starting now comes back and plays in their current position on the OL. Any thoughts or surprises?

I know Barksdale came for some short yardage plays. Other than that I don't recall seeing him but he could have played more.

i think it will be Barksdale, he is a beast, i dont know much about Jones, but our line will be pretty decent next year.

it was barksdale. he played well and kicked ass. he will be the man at the position next year and we won't skip a beat. he should actually be better/more consistent.

    he's a load.

Ryan Miller replaced Hitt during the Florida game, but I think Jarvis replaced him sometime earlier in the year.

Barksdale was in in the semifullback position directly behind Herman and Ciron in shortyardages, those were when Flynn snuck it to the left. It happened atleast 3 times during the game but I'm not sure what they said on TV. My seat was in the endzone at the top tier so I could see everything going on in terms of personnel substitutions and plays. They were great seats if you love the Xs and Os of football.

yep, this guy's right! you were probably sitting right by me.

do you remember that defensive formation like this:

    xxx x x
    x x

it had rjf at right end, dorsey at nose tackle, and jackson at left end. to the left of jackson was highsmith and to the left of him was jones (i believe).

at linebacker was pittman and beckwith.

i remember talking to my uncle about it saying how nice that formation looked. a few seconds later this happened:

Wow, that's the understatement of the century.

Johnson (Sr) and Black (Jr) are all-SEC, both of these have a good chance at All-American honors (either 1st or 2nd teams).

Helms (Sr) is steady in the middle at Center (just ask Jacob Hester).

Will Arnold (5th year Sr, medical redshirt?) has a chance to redeem himself next year at Right Guard if he is able to come back, otherwise Hitt and Jones will share time.

Right Tackle will be Barkdale's spot. He will rule and be better than Stewart.

I contend this will be the finest offensive line in LSU history in 08.
