I don't make a habit of calling anyone a lock but he is close to it as of now. Maybe something changes before NSD but we are sitting pretty.
If I were Mettenberger, I'd be counting my lucky stars to have an SEC team interested in me and willing to give me a second chance, and wouldn't be stupid enough to put stipulations on said school/team/coach. If I were Les Miles, and said prospect did put said stipulations on me, I'd tell said risky prospect to take a hike.
Isn't he available to transfer in mid-year? If so, we would not have to wait till NSD, only until classes start for the spring semester.
Are those the same people who say the worst thing for LSU is that we have a good season this year because then we want be able to get rid of Old Les....I don't understand folks like that. I think it is the "i have to be right" mentality that drives them. Agreed, the plays being called are there, the receivers are open and most of the time in open space. It has been JJ’s failure to execute that is the problem. And we have a lot of boys starting that were not there last year... Coincidence ???
He is so it would really be in mid December when he could start practicing with the team. So a little over a month before NSD.
Craig Nall left before his senior year and turned one year starting at Northwestern into an 8-year NFL career. It happens.
