if it was 60 years ago during segregation, and i am black, and i told you i like to drink from the white man water fountain, would you say "i tell you what hombre, you arent so tough when you get to texas, try drinking out of the white man fountain in texas, whooohoo!"

i mean, laws are laws, right?

You equate smoking weed with racial equality? Your analogies suck ass.

the issue is whether laws are to be obeyed blindly. please try to keep up.

keep in mind our tax dollars are keeping marijuana users in jail and managing the crime that the black market causes.

i mean we could babble on about gay marriage or something, ignoring that people are literally jailed, their freedom taken from them, sitting in cells, because they like to have a nice smoke. if you dont think freedom matters for these people, then by all means ignore the issue and care about what you care about.

again, when people like kylek think it is a good idea to take people's freedom, to imprison them, put them in a cell and take their right to almost everything away, just for weed, then we as a nation have a problem.

The issue is quite obvious, as is your inability to intelligently say something related to it. What's next, a comparison to the slave trade? And my statement is dead accurate -your analogies suck ass.

No we don't, because we have tough guys like you that call cops jackasses to their face and keep "the man" in line. It's called diversity of opinion, and it's actually why this country works. Perhaps you were out smoking weed during civics class.

Martin, show me where I said it was a good idea to take people's freedom blah blah blah just for weed. I didn't say it. I said I obey the law. You said you don't because you think it's stupid and you yell at cops and show them how great you are.

The Dude is right, your analogies suck.

well, we do lock up marijuana users, which is similar to enslaving them in that their freedom is taken away from them. i think taking away people's freedom and locking them up is pretty damn serious and should be done to real criminals that hurt other people. again, you are not required to care about this issue, or freedom for anyone at all.

only the jackass cops. if you are afraid of cops, so be it.

i do not smoke weed. i dunno how many times i have to repeat this.

my mistake. you want me to come to texas to get arrested by cops for weed because you think it is wrong and you think weed is fine. you would be sad when my freedom is taken away, even as you pay for it to happen to prove your stupid point about how hardcore your idiotic local laws and cops are.

well i dont disobet the law either in the case of weed, i dont smoke it. but it does upset me that other people are getting arrested for it. i think about how i would feel if i were locked up for intoxicant of choice (beer). i have a thing humans call "empathy". i do not delight in the arrest of people for weed.

i am great, but i dont tell them that. they know though, they can tell.

the dude is not right, my analogy is about how sacred laws are according to you. you claimed earlier that if jambalaya were illegal, you would cease to make it. i think this is borderline cowardly. i think unjust laws deserve to be ignored if at all possible. if you would like, i can list some names of people you respect that agree with this philosophy, but i would presume that you would call them blowhards or ****-stirrers, because it always better to keep your mouth shut, bow your head down, and obey.

diversity of opinion my ass. Criminalization of Marijuana didn't come about because of a difference of opinion. It came by a group of people trying to push it's morals and beliefs on others. But that is the PC answer. It actually came about because at the time Marihuana was considered to be something that was done only by people of color. It was purely racial. Now that wasn't taught in civics class, but it is well documented.

I quit smoking because my company drug tests often, sometimes hair tests, not because I agree with the law. I don't have any dependents, but I can't imagine risking going to jail, possibly losing my job, and not being able to support my family over "sticking it to the man". Afterall, we still have beer. And if I was alive during prohibition, and how I made my living alcohol tested, I seriously doubt I would be drinkng...same goes for anything illegal, right or wrong, that would compromise my ability to support myself or family.

I did smoke this synthetic stuff a few weeks ago after the sec baseball championship. It was harsh and definitely made me feel something, but wasn't as good as the real stuff. With the legalize weed movement going on, suprised they are making it illegal so fast.
