I would have to absolutely agree with you -- the fans on this board have most definitely done an awesome job of dissecting this matchup. ESPN can only deal in short soundbites, and of course, we know they hate LSU. :geauxtige
Let's assume he gets 100. Do you know how many games Bama has lost when we've had a RB gain 100 yards in a game in Saban's tenure? One.
Tappy ... if Bama comes out in the second half against LSU guns a blazin ... that'll mean that LSU has shut down the run game, and turned the Bama Offense one dimensional pass. TN shut the run game down in the first half. I don't see that happening with LSU. They give enough to keep you in your game, but they don't give enough for it to be truly successful. I'll say this though .. if Bama comes out flat like they did against TN, you guys are in trouble. I wonder some times if the media hype and attention has the Bama team feeling a tad over confident, such that they don't show up to play .. until they realize they aren't spankin' their opponent like they should.
Bama won't come out flat, I have thought long and hard about both teams in whatever year to come. Because of the ties as long as Saban is at Alabama. Neither team will ever come out flat. I am not worried about this Bama team. We beat them last year, they were a better team last year. There QB is untested in big games, LSU is a better tested team. We will definitely know something after Saturday Night though, I don't think Alabama will win this one. I have seen them play many games this year and they aren't all as good as in the past BUT they just may bring their BEST game of the season Saturday. I don't think they have the experience at key positions and I know their special teams aren't as good as ours and I think that is why we win. Alabama has very little experience at QB period.
