But Lasalle makes a grat point. A lot of Bama's best pass plays have been on check downs to TR. McCarron is also very dangerous if he is flushed out of the pocket and a pass defender has to come off a receiver to stop him.
A lot of things have changed from our team last season, obviously. We are destroying the teams we beat last season, Trent is having a better season than Ingram was at this point, AJ is having a better season than GMac was. There is a good chance that LSU is going to put 7 or 8 in the box to try and stop Trent. If they do, that gives AJ a chance to show everyone how good of a QB he is against man coverage. We will see how well that works out...
Please, for the love of God, don't quote anything from RamahsGhost, just reference his name instead. It's painful enough to look at it that formatting style once.
Oh I agree we'll see plenty of that. But to recommend they may come out guns a blazing with the passing game, that will never be the case for a Nick Saban team.
We did it in the second half against Tennessee... Drove down the field, and scored. Don't think we ran more than one run play on the opening second half drive. That is not to say that we will be doing that to open the game against LSU, but I wouldn't say that it would never be the case.
Oh ya, because comparing your drives against Tennessee's defense and your drives against LSU's defense is a GREAT comparison. Hope you hang your hat on that
Was that the point I was trying to make? No, not at all... Learn to figure out what someone is talking about. I was simply stating that it's not out of the question for Alabama to do that in a game, as they have done it before. I was not commenting on their ability to do it. Sigh...
