Unfortunately, the more I think about it, the more realistic this scenario becomes. Tyrod Taylor might be able to dance around some ACC defenses for a few yards, but a Saban defense will shut down such a one-dimensional player. Guy only had 2 TD passes last year and I believe 7 picks. Plus, VT's starting RB is out for the season. So I'm really not even sure why they're ranked so high to start the season, but I guess things will play out as they should in due time. Anyway, Bama is very likely to throttle a vastly over-rated ACC team in the opener for the second year in a row. I think VT's only hope is to beat them with 'Beamer Ball'.
I usually pull for the SEC team, but in some cases, my heart just won't let me. And in this one, I hope VT takes a page from the Utah playbook or something and finds a chink in the armor that we can use later on.
My Bama friend tells me that they have/had a swine flu problem on the team and they're gonna have to run a lot more substitutions than they normally would...recovered players are weak and have less stamina. DRC you hear about that? guess we'll have to wait and see today what it means
Va. Tech and the ACC is so overrated. I think they're something like 1-17 against OOC rated teams. Bama wins.
Bama red zone lookin like doo doo however. They can kick 7 more field goals and just barely win, as long as they are all field goals. Dawgs showing their true selves so we kinda need bama to pull this off.
