Thanks. I was concerned about this game any way. You guys better watch out for Ol' Sis.............she is playing tough, never-say-die football. I always hate playing Nutt....hard to plan against a looney. If we can sneak out of BR with a W..............................I like our chances for the rest of the year. BTW..................this is Sabans' first 7-0 team.
We're not being anymore "exposed" than anyone else in the SEC. Most SEC games I've watched this season have followed the same shifts in momentum except for the Tennessee/Miss St game yesterday and the LSU/Florida game last week where the outcomes were never in question.
I'm pretty sure it was his knee, ACL, if I had to guess. The entire pile fell back on him. His foot stayed planted, but he went backwards. Alabama cannot, and I repeat, cannot have the injury bug bite them. Also, Bama is not playing a complete game. We don't either, but it's scary when a team doesn't play in the 2nd half, in particular. Yesterday, Saban pulled a typical, well, Saban. He did this in the '03 BCSNCG. He got on top of a team, then proceeded to get too conservative on offense.
Saban doesnt call plays on offense homie. Ole Miss did a good job forcing Alabama to block eight up front and they could not consistently. Plus, Bama's defense couldnt get off the field.
Are you telling me that Saban's uber conservatism when he gets any amount of a lead is just the work of his offensive coordinators? Do you honestly think that he gives complete freedom to his OC's? He's a control freak, and he gets very conservative when he has a lead. Bama's defense was also out there the whole time because he wasn't opening up the offense.
If you think Saban doesn't call the shots when it comes to the overall offensive style relative to the score and time I've got some beach front property to sell you. Aside from Saban coaching conservatively because he thinks his system is all it takes to win ball games, Bama's lack of depth is rearing it's head again like last year. They are talented no doubt but I think they will be aching a little by the time they come to Death Valley and LSU's quality depth will be the difference.
All coaches are like that. Thats why they are coaches. He doesnt radio to them to not throw a pass five yards down field, though. A lot of it is a matter of execution. Ole Miss put men in the box just like they did the first half but this time they pciked the right gaps. Nothing really changed other than the fact that they didnt execute.
