Let baseball stand on it's own, the team is playing great on sec play with the second half of the schedule coming up. We keep getting the key hits and very good pitching from everyone. So nice to see after last year's struggles.

Yesterday was a solid performance by the Tigers! I enjoyed watching the game on Espn2.

The team is about as hot as you can get right now, hopefully they will stay this way. Big test this weekend against K-Y.

Really glad to see Rhymes has not missed a beat after suffereing the concusion. Arby Fields looks outstanding. I like when a guy comes off the bench mid season and adds a spark to the lineup. Ross seems to be in a little bit of a slump, but is still playing exceptional defense. I hope he can get some base knocks this weekend. Pitching is really really coming on strong. Aaron Nola continues to impress me with his accuracy.

On a side note: One thing continues to nag me. There is an Espn college baseball "analyst" (whose name I cannot recall) who keeps mentioning Gausman as a top 5 draft pick after this season. I don't understand this, as Gausman is only a sophomore and you have to complete your Jr season in baseball before being elligible for the draft.

I just need some reassurance that this Espn "analyst" is just an assclown, and doesn't know what he is talking about. Anyone know why he would keep putting that info out there?

Maybe he was referring to Kevin being named the #4 prospect on the USA team he played on in the summer.

If you turn 21 within so many days of the draft, you also become eligible even if you have only been out of highschool for 2 years. Same thing happened a couple of years ago with Lemahieu (spelling). He is eligible regardless of years played in College because of his age.

I know it doesn't happen very often, but the ESPN Analyst is correct in this case.

Sonofa!!! I'm being selfish, but would really like to see him stay another year. The Gausman, Eades, and Nola weekend rotation is proving to be pretty dang solid!

    thanks for the info.

There were a couple of blown calls on LSU baserunners at second base, without which we may have tacked on a few more. This team is solid and could be in line for a top 8 seed.
